Intrum , a Swedish credit management group, has completed the purchase of the Spanish real estate servicer Haya Real Estate for 136 million euros, after receiving authorization from the National Markets and Competition Commission (CNMC) and formalizing the release of all charges on the shares and assets of the company.
The operation was announced last May and it is now that the transaction has been closed, which will provide Intrum with the management of a portfolio of real estate assets with a value of more than 10,000 million euros.
In this way, Intrum expands its presence in the Cambodia Telegram Number Data Spanish market , reaching a total volume of assets under management with a value greater than 60,000 million euros, among which there are more than 200,000 real estate assets.
The agreement will strengthen Intrum's relationship with one of the largest investors in portfolios of 'nonperforming assets' (doubtful loans, NPA), Cerberus, and will expand the company's business with some of the main Spanish financial entities such as BBVA, CaixaBank or Grupo Cajamar Cooperative.
The agreement reached also entails the incorporation of 550 professionals to Intrum Spain, reaching a total of 2,200 employees in Spain, led by José Luis Bellosta, general director of the company.
With a presence in 24 countries and more than 80,000 clients throughout Europe, Intrum has been consolidating in the servicing sector in Spain for several years, first with the acquisition of Aktua in 2016 and then Solvia in 2019.
"We are very satisfied with this operation, which reinforces our leadership position in Spain, one of the key markets for Intrum at a global level, and allows us to strengthen and expand our relationship with top-level financial entities", declared Bellosta.
In the first half of the year, Haya Real Estate and its subsidiary recorded losses of 17.4 million euros, which means cutting by 60% the 'red numbers' of 42.9 million euros recorded in the same period of the previous year, as shown in its latest income statement.
