Considering that family organizations make up a significant majority of the Brazilian business market and that there are several problems that affect this type of enterprise, this research sought to analyze mediation as an effective governance instrument with regard to the prevention and resolution of conflicts in the management of this type. business, spoke about the family, the family business and the appropriate extrajudicial conflict resolution instruments and tried to demonstrate that mediation is the most appropriate instrument to promote Petroleum Manufacturers Email Lists communication and alignment of thoughts and decisions between managers and the family in family formation companies. It was concluded that mediation was used to resolve conflicts, considering that it values communication, resolving the crisis and the healthy reestablishment of the relationship between employees, who are, above all, members of a family. Finally, it is clear that the tools that can be used during the mediation process in family businesses are many and diverse, making it possible to restore harmonious coexistence between family members who work in the same environment.
