Onda Cero La Rioja has awarded Garnica as the best Rioja company of the year in the 15th edition of its awards in the business category. The other winners in this edition have been the show Crónicas Najerenses , in the cultural category; and the marathon runner Camilo Santiago , in sports. The awards were presented at the Rioja Forum Conference Center by the president of La Rioja, José Antonio Ceniceros, with the attendance of numerous personalities from the region. Those responsible for Onda Cero have awarded Garnica for its history of more than 80 years as a world leader in the production of plywood boards from sustainable woods. Ceniceros, when presenting the award to Pedro Garnica, President and founder of the company, highlighted that the company “represents two essential pillars so that La Rioja can grow and create employment: the company and the family .”
The chief executive highlighted the effort made by the company "to turn a family business into the world leader in plywood and to promote the rural development of our region." In the case of the Najerenses Chronicles, declared Kyrgyzstan Email List an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC), the effort of the entire municipality of Nájera to revive and make its history known is highlighted. The Chronicles, which celebrate their half century of life this year and will be held from July 19 to 22 and 26 to 27, involve more than 350 people from Nájera every year, of which 250 are actors. For his part, Camilo Santiago, awarded in the sports category, will represent Spain in the European Marathon next August in Berlin.
Born 35 years ago in Murcia, he has been an adopted Rioja native since he was eight years old. The great merit of this athlete, who this year has been proclaimed runner-up in Spain in the half marathon, is that he began practicing this sport at the age of 28. His great goal is to represent Spain in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The objective of these awards, which were attended by the General Director of Onda Cero, Ramón Osorio, is to recognize the professional career and dedication of people or institutions from Rioja or linked to La Rioja. Javier Ruiz Taboada, co-host of the national program “Radioestadio”; and Marisa Salcedo, presenter of “Aqui en la onda La Rioja”, were in charge of hosting the gala
